Title: Tag Line: I won’t rest till I get my revenge.

Synopsis: There is a young mentally disabled young man and he is the Stalker. He recently saw his beloved girlfriend cheating on him with the bully at his school. He doesn’t know how to react so he plots his revenge through his girlfriend’s best friend. His mindset is that “if I can’t have her then no one can”.

From the feedback we got from our focus group about our Thriller ideas, it was apparent that we should go with the idea of the graveyard Thriller (idea 3). However I was rather skeptical about this idea, it just did not sound logical. It was going to be about someone experiencing flashbacks about dropping a cup of tea in a hospital and then being chased by a zombie in a graveyard. Now I certainly am not an expert but I realised that first of all it would be difficult to film as a getting permission to film in a hospital would be difficult as it is very busy in hospitals and also ethical issues arise, as is it sensible to be running around a graveyard where you should have respect for dead people. So I really made it clear to my group that I was opposed to this idea and with the help of my teacher we managed to put forward my idea. My idea was very simple and it is called 'The Stalker'. It fits into the genre of horror thrillers. It starts off with a young attractive girl walking down the road, she drops her phone but has her headphones in from her iPod so she doesn't realise. We then see the cold face of the stalker, then a zoom of his eyes looking directly at the phone then a shot of the phone on the floor. This is an eye-line match and would be effective. Then he goes to pick up the phone and attempt to track the girl, inviting her to come and collect her phone from his house. The girl doesn't know the boy but agrees to come and collect her phone, she arrives at his house, the door is already open so she walks through. I don't want to reveal the whole story but this is what happens and I believe this is better and easier to film without problems than the hospital/graveyard idea.

Idea 1:

Someone is being chased by mummies, this leads to them getting hit by a car. They are rushed to hospital but the mummies follow them so they are forced to run away for safety: which concludes the character to run through a graveyard however the character finds themselves trapped in the graveyard full of mummies.

Idea 2:

The other thriller idea was that men in the neighbourhood with their hoods up follow a young lady, their motive is to rob/rape the female. The camera goes away from the action so we don't know what is going to happen, we're going to include an enigmas to make our film more interesting and dramatic. All of a sudden lights flash  then the young lady comes out of the alley way with confidence almost as if she has done something bad, smiling.

Idea 3:

The last idea for our thriller was to have our thriller's main location to be in a hospital/graveyard. Our idea consisted of a person waking up in an hospital with confused, with no idea on what they’re doing there. She then begins to have short period flashbacks thinking it must have been what happened. These flashbacks consist of supernatural activities as the person first finds him/herself in a hospital and she 'knocks a cup of tea on the table on the side onto the floor', a series of other activities happen but the person end up being chased to a graveyard where she sees some sort of zombie appear out of nowhere, the scene ends after this. The audience will at first believe that they are flashbacks on what happened and the reason for her being in the hospital when really there premonitions on what is due to happen as the film goes back to the footage of the person being in a hospital, does the exact things she did in her flashback and as she knocks over the tea she realises that something supernatural is happen and as she walks out her room to inspect the same zombie which she saw in the grave yard suddenly appears behind her/him.

None of these ideas really worked so I came up with brand new idea.

The aim of our Focus Group was to hear people's thoughts and opinions about our film and also to address certain issues that could arise in our film. If there was problem that many people were concerned about then we would take it into consideration and change the idea or part of the Thriller.

Adeseye explained to the audience our three ideas for our Thriller and I then asked them a few questions. The first question I asked was whether a red herring would work. The response was positive and it was agreed that yes a red herring could work well.

1. "Yeah I think it would work quite well, because most Thrillers that I have seen used it and it worked really well"

5. "I think there both good, but I like the second one, I think it could really work well because its not obvious what will happen in the story. If the woman walks away after men attempting to attack her that's very surprising"

The first question I asked is whether people like Thrillers in general.
From my results obtained, 8 people answered my question. 2 people said that they do like Thrillers, 2 said that they do not like Thrillers and 4 said they like some Thrillers but not all of them. These results are quite neutral.

The second question I asked was what sub-genre of Thriller do you like best.
Looking at my results, I can see that 8 people answered this question. I can see that the most popular thrillers are action and crime/detective.

I then went on to ask how often people watch thrillers.
The results were rather surprising. Almost 50% of people said that they do not like Thrillers.

I also asked whether people liked the idea of a red herring in a Thriller.
From my results collected, I can see that 62.5% like the idea of a red herring and 37.5% do not like the idea of a red herring.

All the other questions asked where personal and people wrote their own opinions.
